The UGC NET and UPSC exams are both demanding but in different ways. The UPSC exam is known for its extensive syllabus and rigorous selection process, often considered more difficult due to the large number of candidates and tough competition. The UGC NET, while challenging, has a different focus and may be less intense in terms of overall competition.

For the UGC NET exam, the qualifying marks are 40% aggregate in both papers for General category candidates. For PWD/SC/ST/OBC Non-creamy layer and Transgender candidates, the qualifying marks are 35% aggregate in both papers.
