EMRS Eligibility 2024 for Principal

To qualify for the Principal position at EMRS in 2024, candidates need the following eligibility:

Essential Qualifications:

Academic: A Master’s Degree from a recognized University/Institute and a B.Ed. Degree.

Experience: At least 12 years of combined experience as Vice Principal/PGT/TGT with a minimum of 4 years as PGT or higher.

Desirable Qualifications

Experience: Experience in a fully residential school is desirable.

Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English, Hindi, and the regional language is desirable.

EMRS Teacher Age Relaxation Policy

Here are the critical points of the EMRS Teacher Age Relaxation Policy:

Candidates should be no older than 55 as of July 31, 2023, after considering any applicable relaxations or concessions.

Veterans receive age relaxation according to rules set by the Government of India.

Veterans who have served in the Armed Forces (Army, Navy, and Air Force) for at least six months continuously can deduct this service period from their actual age. If the resulting age does not exceed the maximum age limit for the post by more than three years, they meet the age limit requirement.

Concessions are mutually exclusive, meaning if a candidate is eligible for more than one concession, only the one with the highest permissible limit is granted.

Essential Pointers on EMRS Teacher Age Relaxation Policy

To fully understand the EMRS Eligibility Criteria 2024, candidates must adhere to the following guidelines:

Age Limit: The age limit for teaching posts is set as of July 31, 2023, and for non-teaching posts as of January 1, 2023.

STET/CTET-Paper-II Certificate: Candidates applying for TGT positions must have a valid STET/CTET-Paper-II certificate.

Uploading Certificates: Applicants must upload the necessary certificates with their Application Form.

Awaiting Results: Candidates appearing for an exam or awaiting results should present the certificate/scorecard during the interview.

Disqualification: Candidates will be disqualified and barred from all EMRS and NESTS appointments if they:

  • Provide incorrect information or false documents.
  • Suppress relevant information.
  • Engage in unfair means during the recruitment process.
  • Commit impersonation.
  • Disturb the smooth conduct of the computer-based test.
  • Upload a non-human or irrelevant photograph.
  • Multiple Applications: If a candidate submits multiple applications for the same post, only the latest application is considered for evaluation.

Economically Weaker Section (EWS) Reservation Policy

To qualify for EWS reservation, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Income: The family’s gross annual income must be below Rs. 8 lakh. Income from all sources, including salary, agriculture, business, and profession, is considered for the financial year preceding the application year.

  • Property Holdings: Applicants are not considered EWS if their family owns:
  • Five acres of agricultural land or more.
  • A residential flat of 1000 square feet or more.
  • A residential plot of 100 square yards or more in notified municipalities.
  • A residential plot of 200 square yards or more outside notified municipalities.

Family Definition: For EWS status, property held by a family in different locations or cities is combined. The term “family” includes the applicant, their parents, siblings under 18, spouse, and children under 18.

Certification: Candidates applying for EWS-reserved vacancies must have a valid income and asset certificate by the application deadline—failure to provide a valid certificate results in the application being considered under General (UR) vacancies.
