HTET’s marking scheme awards one mark per question without penalties for incorrect answers. Both Paper 1 and Paper 2 have 150 questions each, covering different subjects.
General category candidates must score at least 60%, while S.C. and differently-abled candidates need 55% to pass HTET. These scores are required to obtain the eligibility certificate for all exam levels.
The HTET certificate has lifetime validity, as extended by the Haryana government. Once issued, it remains indefinitely valid for applying to teaching positions at Haryana government schools.
