Q. What is the negative marking system in the CDS exam?
In the CDS exam, incorrect answers are marked negatively. Candidates earn 0.83 marks for each correct answer in English and General Knowledge and one mark for Mathematics. For each incorrect response, 0.33 marks are deducted across all sections.
Q. What is the minimum cutoff for the CDS exam?
Candidates must achieve at least 20% in each of the three papers to progress in the selection process for the CDS exam. Those applying for the Officers' Training Academy (OTA) must sit for only two papers.
Q. Which pen should be used in the CDS exam?
Candidates must use a black ballpoint pen to complete the OMR sheets during the CDS exam. While pencils and other pens may be used for rough work, they should not be used on the official OMR sheets.
